Any way to know if a section is the experimental one?

i hate the idea of grinding on an unscored section. is there any tell? like does it always come in a certain position, feel harder, or have some telltale quirk?

That's the point you have no choice but to treat them all equally. Only tip off is if you have 2 RC sections then one RC is experimental, or if you have 3 LR then one LR is experimental. You always have 2 LR and 1 RC scored. But you still won't know WHICH section is the experimental one so you have to approach all of them as if they count.
