What time do October 2026 LSAT scores come out?

LSAC begins releasing scores at approximately 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time on October 28, 2026. Not everyone’s score appears at the same moment: some test takers see theirs at 9:00 sharp and others 10 to 15 minutes later. Minor delays are normal and do not indicate a problem with your score.

How LSAC delivers scores

On release day, LSAC emails you that your score is available and posts the score itself in your LSAC account. The email never contains the score, so checking your account directly is faster than refreshing your inbox.

Two things can hold a score past the release date: a missing LSAT Writing sample and an administrative hold on your account. LSAC does not release your score until an approved writing sample is on file, so if yours is not done, completing it is the single thing standing between you and your score. If you purchased Score Preview as a first-time taker, your decision window to keep or cancel opens once the score is released.

Before release day

Confirm your LSAT Writing sample is complete; an unfinished sample delays your score past October 28, 2026. Then set your benchmark before the number arrives: what counts as a good LSAT score covers targets by school band, and the LSAT score guide maps every score to percentiles. Deciding your retake threshold now, while you are calm, beats deciding it at 9:05 a.m. with the number in front of you.
